Why did you choose your major/minor, and what did you like most about it?

I chose to pursue Exercise Science Applied Kinesiology major because I was in between two career paths; Physical Therapy or Athletic Training. I liked the Exercise Science major option at Rutgers because it allowed me time to explore my options.

Tell us about your journey since graduation and the ways your experiences at Rutgers and SAS have contributed to your success?

My journey has been interesting because I originally chose to pursue a career in Athletic Training, later deciding to go into fitness and sports. Shortly after my first internship I knew that working with athletes and their fitness was a career for me. If it wasn’t for the flexibility of the major, I wouldn’t be able to have the time to explore my options.

What advice do you have for our current Arts and Sciences Students?

Make sure to have 3, 5, 10 plus year plans. Lastly, make sure to do something you love, life is too short to be unhappy.

Do you have any exciting news to share?
