K&H Service and Leadership Award 2021

 

Seniors can self- nominate.  Deadline April 16, 2021

Eligibility for nomination is based on scholarship, leadership and service. Award recipients must be in good academic and disciplinary standing and demonstrate a balance of academic and co-curricular excellence.

The Service & Leadership Award recipient should be a graduating senior who has significantly contributed to the department through involvement in activities/initiatives that demonstrate one or more of the following: civic engagement, service to the department, celebration or promotion of diversity and inclusion, advocacy and educational awareness work, mentorship or guidance, and promotion of health and wellness.

Listed Criteria:
1.     Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA
2.     Two years of consecutive service in the Department of Kinesiology and Health. This can be a combination of participating in department clubs, organizing and leading events for the department, research, course assistantship, additional community outreach.
3.     Notable and verifiable fieldwork or internship experience.

Students will self-nominate for this award. Faculty are also able to nominate students.

All full-time Department of Kinesiology & Health faculty will be eligible to vote. There will be 1-2 finalists to receive the award: one representing the Exercise Science major and one representing the Sport Management major.
