The Excellence in Exercise Science award recipient should be a graduating senior who has significantly contributed to the department through involvement in activities/initiatives that demonstrate one or more of the following: civic engagement, service to the department, celebration or promotion of diversity and inclusion, advocacy and educational awareness work, mentorship or guidance, and promotion of health and wellness.
The Dave Feigley Sport Management Award is given annually to a graduating student in the major. It is awarded to the individual who has proven academic excellence, leadership, service and exemplifies the character, humility and integrity of its namesake — the former department chairman and esteemed Rutgers professor for more than 50 years.
