Educational/Research Interests

Trained as an experimental psychologist, Dr. Andrea Spaeth has dedicated herself to a career in sleep research aimed at advancing our understanding of how changes in sleep behaviors affect health outcomes, particularly in women. Her current research projects include observational studies examining the relationship between alcohol use and sleep health in college studies, cannabis use and sleep health in middle-aged women, dietary interventions to improve sleep in older adults, and altering exercise timing to improve sleep in young adults. The ultimate goal of Dr Spaeth's research is to develop and implement effective lifestyle modification interventions related to sleep in at-risk populations to promote health and wellness.
