A Young Girl’s Mission to Prevent Addiction Shines a Light on a Rutgers Lab
When a 10-year-old girl in San Diego started a campaign to support addiction research, she had no idea the path would lead her to a lab a continent away in New Jersey in the Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences. In July, Anika Gamburg visited the the Cardiac Neuroscience Laboratory in the Department of Kinesiology and Health to learn about their addiction prevention research first hand. Scientists think this type of Body Fat could be good for you
Co-author Labros S. Sidossis, professor in the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, commented in a statement: "Our study explains the paradox that BCAA supplements can potentially benefit those with active brown fat, such as healthy people, but can be detrimental to others, including the elderly, obese and people with diabetes."
