  • Kinesiology and Health ambassadors are an exceptional group of volunteer students selected to represent Exercise Science and Sport Management. These students demonstrate professionalism, support department initiatives, and inspire their peers to pursue the myriad of opportunities available to current and prospective students. They plan events, share their experiences with others through office hours and engage students on our social media. Thank you to all of our student ambassadors for everything you have done for our department.

  • Students in the Doctor of Physical Therapy 4+3 Program began fulfilling the many requirements of this highly competitive program in their first year at Rutgers. They have maintained a high GPA while working and/or volunteering hundreds of hours in various Physical Therapy clinics, have held leadership positions in university clubs, conducted research, and performed community service, earning thousands of dollars for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. They truly embody the qualities of their future profession. I wish to congratulate this year’s graduating cohort of the DPT 4+3 Program and to wish them well as they continue their physical therapy education at the graduate level.

  • The Physical Therapy Club creates a community for all students who are interested in pursuing a career in Physical Therapy. Within the club, students are guided and mentored through the Physical Therapy School application process, as well as participate in fundraisers for the Make-A-Wish Foundation. This club allows students to connect with one another, receive peer mentorship and learn more about the potential career paths that are available to them. The department would like to thank the Physical Therapy Club members for all their fundraising and involvement they have had during their time at Rutgers. You all have represented our department and Physical Therapy program extremely well.

  • The students from the Undergraduate Sport Science Team have gained hands-on research experience in data collection and analysis while working on a range of important projects. These students worked directly with Rutgers coaches and athletes in physiological testing, training monitoring, and data analysis. Collectively, these students have demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and a strong commitment to the research process.

  • I would like to acknowledge these students who have dedicated their time and effort to our department's initiative advocating for physical literacy and health among children. These students played a key role in implementing physical activity programming and in research focused on motor activity and physical function, volunteering for GigiFit, and programs through RWJBH. In some cases, they dedicated an entire day each weekend, and sometimes more hours, during the semester to run these programs, creating a priceless experience for the individuals who benefitted.
